Hello, I am Mia
I work as a project manager. A parent. An expatriate living in Berlin, Germany.
A few years ago I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually blossomed into a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Moving to Germany wasn't in our long-range plan. Like many expat relocations, it started as a job opportunity and quickly grew into something far larger.
The initial months were intense — unfamiliar systems, new routines, elevated expectations. Everyday tasks seemed more tangled than they should.
The Adaptation Phase
There was culture shock, uncertainty, and a lot of learning by doing. But gradually, routines took shape. We found places that suited us, connected with other families, and began building something that felt steady.
Why I Created DosiVukoBor
Most information online was either corporate relocation guidance or superficial tourism material. What was missing was an honest, everyday family perspective.
This site exists to fill that gap — practical advice drawn from real life in Germany.
What This Site Does (And Does Not)
This site PROVIDES:
- Hands-on experience from living in Germany
- Centering on family life and everyday realities
- Updated when there is a real change
This site DOESN'T:
- A tourism authority resource
- Paid review site
- An ordinary travel journal
Looking Ahead
Our stay in Germany continues, and so does the learning process. As long as the information remains useful, I’ll continue documenting what we discover.
If you have questions about family life in Berlin or anywhere in Germany, don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best regards,
Mia
